Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11th July 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to services offered by Gillian Campbell through www.gillian-campbell.co.uk, including yoga and aerial yoga classes, workshops, transformational breathwork, seasonal gatherings, retreats, teacher training, corporate wellbeing and freelance consultancy.
By booking or purchasing a service, you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms relevant to that booking.
1. About Me
My name is Gillian Campbell, and I operate as a sole trader based in Scotland.
For questions about these terms, please contact:
Email:yin.skin.breathe@gmail.com
Website:www.gillian-campbell.co.uk
2. Bookings and Payment
Places are confirmed only when the required payment or deposit has been received.
Bookings may be managed through Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, Stripe or another booking platform identified at the time of purchase.
You are responsible for checking that the information supplied during booking is accurate.
Any payment plan, deposit requirement or balance due date will be clearly stated within the individual event or service description.
3. Prices
All prices will be clearly displayed before purchase.
Any additional costs, including accommodation, travel, meals or specialist materials, will be explained before booking where applicable.
4. Classes and Workshops
Cancellation and transfer terms for regular classes and workshops will be shown at the point of booking.
Unless stated otherwise:
bookings are personal and may not be transferred without prior agreement;
missed sessions are not normally refundable;
late arrival may result in reduced participation where entering would be unsafe or disruptive;
any request to move a booking is subject to availability.
Where possible, I will always try to be fair and reasonable.
5. Retreats, Gatherings and Teacher Training
Retreats, immersive events and teacher training require advance planning and incur costs before the event takes place.
The individual booking page will explain:
the deposit required;
whether the deposit is refundable;
payment deadlines;
cancellation arrangements;
whether a place may be transferred;
what is included in the price.
Please consider appropriate travel insurance where accommodation, travel or a significant advance payment is involved.
Failure to pay a balance by the stated deadline may result in the place being released after reasonable notice has been given.
6. Cancellation by Me
Occasionally, an event, class or training may need to be cancelled or changed because of illness, venue issues, low numbers, unsafe conditions or circumstances outside my reasonable control.
Where I cancel an event and cannot provide a suitable alternative, payments made directly to me for the affected service will normally be refunded.
I am not responsible for separate travel, accommodation or other costs you have arranged unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Health and Suitability
You are responsible for deciding whether a class, workshop, breathwork session, retreat or training is appropriate for you.
You agree to provide relevant and accurate health information where requested and to inform me of any change that may affect safe participation.
Yoga, aerial yoga and breathwork are not substitutes for medical diagnosis or treatment.
Please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional where you have concerns about your health, pregnancy, an injury, medication or a medical condition.
You may pause or withdraw from any practice at any time.
8. Aerial Yoga
Aerial yoga includes physical activity using suspended equipment.
You agree to:
follow safety instructions;
use the equipment only as directed;
avoid attempting movements that have not been taught or approved;
tell me immediately if you feel unwell, unsafe or unsure;
avoid participating under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
Participation may be refused or modified where I reasonably believe it would be unsafe.
9. Transformational Breathwork
Transformational breathwork may involve active connected breathing and can create physical, emotional or psychological responses.
You are encouraged to work at your own pace and may return to a natural breath or stop at any time.
You must disclose relevant health concerns before participating. Certain conditions may require medical advice, modification or non-participation.
The experience and outcome of breathwork vary between individuals, and no particular result is guaranteed.
10. Personal Responsibility
You remain responsible for your body, choices, boundaries and belongings during all services.
Please listen to your body and do not continue with anything that feels painful, unsafe or unsuitable.
I will provide guidance and reasonable care, but participation in movement and wellbeing practices always carries some inherent risk.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
11. Conduct and Inclusion
I aim to create welcoming, respectful and inclusive spaces.
Aggressive, discriminatory, unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour will not be accepted.
Where necessary to protect participants, facilitators or venues, I may ask someone to leave. Refunds will be considered according to the circumstances and applicable law.
12. Photography and Recording
Photographs or recordings will only be used where appropriate consent has been obtained.
You are welcome to tell me that you do not wish to be photographed or recorded.
Participants may not record other people during sessions without their consent.
13. Intellectual Property
Course manuals, class plans, recordings, written materials, photographs, website content and training resources remain my intellectual property unless otherwise stated.
They may not be copied, distributed, resold, published or used to deliver another training programme without written permission.
Teacher training graduates may use what they have learned within their own teaching, subject to any specific certification and licensing requirements explained during the course.
14. Consultancy Services
Freelance consultancy work may be subject to a separate written proposal or agreement covering:
the scope of work;
fees and payment dates;
expenses;
deadlines;
confidentiality;
ownership of work;
cancellation or termination.
Where a separate agreement is provided, that agreement will take priority for the relevant project.
15. Third-Party Providers and Venues
Some services use third-party venues, booking systems, payment processors, accommodation providers or guest facilitators.
Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply.
I am not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third parties, except where the law provides otherwise.
16. Complaints
Please contact me directly if you are unhappy with a service.
I will aim to respond fairly and promptly and, where possible, resolve concerns through open communication.
17. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time.
The version applying to your booking will normally be the version available when the booking was made, together with any specific terms supplied for that service.
18. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
